From Industry Experience to Building OLDPGS
Founded in 2018, OLDPGS quickly established itself as a growing name in the security industry, offering armed and unarmed uniformed security officers, alarm response services, investigations, loss prevention, and SB1626 school security solutions. But behind the business was a man who believed success comes from showing up, putting in the work, and staying committed long after others quit.
Before launching the company, Hayson spent years investing in himself through permits, certifications, and hands-on industry experience. While working for other security firms, he began to notice something important, his vision was bigger than the positions he held. He realized he wanted more than employment; he wanted ownership, leadership, and the ability to build something that reflected his values and standards.
Instead of waiting for the perfect time, he made the leap and started his own company.
That decision would eventually lead to one of the proudest milestones of his career: being inducted into the City of Pasadena Business Hall of Fame in 2023. Achieving that recognition just five years after founding OLDPGS was more than an award, it was proof that discipline, consistency, and hard work still matter.
Along the journey, Hayson found himself in unique environments that connected him with celebrities, athletes, and entertainment personalities. One of OLDPGS’ early clients was Brennan’s in Marina del Rey, California, a legendary establishment known for its famous turtle races, which raised more than $300,000 for charities over several decades before the venue eventually closed after 53 years.
While working there, Hayson crossed paths with notable names including Travis Pastrana, Kawhi Leonard, Jenna Jameson, and the son of Telly Savalas. Yet despite these encounters, Hayson’s focus never shifted from the mission he set for himself years ago, building a company people could trust.
A Vision Built on Discipline, Opportunity, and Leadership
What separates Hayson from many competitors is his leadership style. Unlike executives who operate from a distance, he continues to work directly in the field alongside his security personnel while also handling office operations and management responsibilities. That hands-on approach has earned respect within the industry and reinforced OLDPGS’ reputation for reliability and accountability.

Hayson plans to expand beyond traditional security services by developing OLD PATROLMAN BRAND retail products, including security technology, training equipment, and professional gear. He also hopes to establish security training centers and eventually launch a sister event security company.
